MEMBER for Namatanai Byron Chan has commended the recent visit by provincial health officials and the Australian volunteer doctors to the electorate.
“I sincerely like to express my sincere appreciation to ADI-Australian volunteer doctors association and New Ireland province medical team who travelled throughout the Konoagil LLG- rural health centres last month,” the MP said.
“The initiative by the Australian Doctors International (ADI) and NIP provincial government has been a great success by both parties.”
He called on the ADI and provincial government to continue such services for the province as this initiative has given hope to the rural population which will be also scrutinized and budget appropriated to upgrade and maintain proper health services to the people.
Mr Chan applauded the current initiative which Namatanai would also like to participate in future ongoing programs.
He also commended all local officers attached to the program for their dedication and commitment to serve the rural population as well as providing and aiding ADI doctors.
